Little Isabel got leg warmers from amma for Christmas. Amma put some curly knitting to go over her shoes. She was pleased and a cousin lamented, "what about me?"

Hat for Shrunken Baby Head

Given the size of my husband's head, there is a 0% chance this will fit my baby. It is a shame; it was nice yarn. But I'll save it for a future dolly, I suppose. Or to keep my produce toasty. It was crocheted.

My first sweater (for baby)

This is the first sweater I've knit 100% by myself. It is not totally done yet, but I just need to stitch it up and add buttons. It is definitely a beginner's pattern, but being able to complete such a project helps motivate me to try something more intricate next time! It is made with organic cotton - very soft. But not so much washable - forgot to check the label (*oopsie*).

Child's Sweater Coat

This is a sweater that I made for a friend's one year old. I wasn't sure about the orange buttons but it is growing on me.

Inexpensive Sweater

I just finished this sweater. I bought the yarn for $5 (total- one huge skein) at Michael's. It is washable and dryable. It is being donated to an auction. Size 4-5.

Sweater and Purse for Moira

Aunt Linda and Jorunn Working Together

This crib was purchased by Isobel's amma, it was painted by her great aunt Linda and the quilt and pillow were sewn by her great aunt Jorunn. In time, this will be a family heirloom.

Icelandic Saga in Canvas

Jorunn attended a class for months to learn how and to create this picture. It is a scene from the Icelandic Sagas.

Purpose of this blog!

Mom (Edith) and I decided to make this blog to share all of the projects we work on. We'd love to see anything from our family! Not just knitting, but photos you've taken, a dinner that turned out well, a spare tire skillfully put on... anything! And give us a story with it, if you've got one.

Birthday Purse

I just finished this and sent it off as a birthday gift. It was a little floppy, so I ironed adhesive to the liner to stiffen it up. I wish I could keep it!
