It's lovely. I really like the sweater. Have to say, I agree with your hesitation on the buttons. I think pearl-ized buttons would look lovely on this, maybe in off-white or even orange for a more autumnal look. The yoke is gorgeous!
I should have asked for your opinion first. You have a good eye for this. Next time.
